i was sent to a to BF10, there is no BF10?
 

i play on silent hunter 3, with GWX 3.0. love the patch,real tough but was sent on a wild goose chase on my first mission from wilshelm 2nd flotilla to bf10. went to bf11 and a few other bf locations but wouldnt acknowledge for my mission. but im not complaining because the 3.0 gold is tough.

You don't need to care about it, GWX doesn't give you renown for patrol, and it doesn't simulate the Gestapo dragging you off for not obeying orders.

Ummm there is no BF10 grid allocated in GWX 3 flotilla cfg
Was in 2.1 and there was a fix for that which was included in 3
So

If you are getting BF10 as a patrol grid somethings not right

If you go to C:\Ubisoft\GWX 3 or SilentHunterII whatever yours is called\data\Cfg

Open the Flotilla cfg in Notepad

At the top should say

;Flotilla v2.0
;Based on Rubini's Unified Campaign (March 2006)
;Updated by JScones to incorporate Far East and Black Sea Campaigns, Salamis (Med Campaign),
;Trondheim, new/updated campaign grids, and to correct other minor file errors

is that right - you don't get renown for plodding all the way to your designated patrol grid and burbling around it twiddling your fingers for 24 hours? You mean I could go off and find some entertainment and suit myself where I go, and I wont suffer any loss of renown for my disobedience?? OH WELL! Here I go then...! :p

Yep, just as long as your entertainment doesn't invole any sunken neutral ships. :lol:

Mine does :D now that I "fiddled" with the file. I find the whole needing renoun to buy ships/equipment/torps silly anyway.

I'd have just changed all the prices. ;)

I changed the file to receive 200 for patrolling 24 hours :oops:. It's cheating, I know, but it's an effective way for forcing me to actually go to my patrol area. :D

To compensate, I set a house rule not to spend renown if spending will cause a demotion. So basically after each promotion I start with zero renown.

I got sent to Grid DT.... and as far as I can see there is no DT (not on the ingame map, the printed map, or the navigation stations map). So this was the first time I used SH3 Commander to give me a valid patrol grid.

What has never worked (and I include stock) is the renown for returning to base.

Yes there is, north-west coast of Africa: North of Cape Verde islands, southwest of Canary Islands, and West of the shores of Mauritania and West-Sahara.

I was sent to BF10 as well, its because of the flotilla.cfg not updated in the GWX -English Nav Map and Grid Ref.

Just disable it and you'll be fine.

Hope it helps others having problem with this as well.
