[WIP]RSRD Conning Tower
 

Ahoy comrades! I just wanted to mention, that we are developing the conning tower which was seen in the movie Run Silent Run Deep with Clark Gable.

We know that this is not historical correct because the version of this tower was used after the end of the war, but we thought it would be a nice feature for Silent Hunter 4 to see the "hollywood boat" in the game.

After testing we will release it for the community.

The tower will be released for the balao class submarine.

A guppy tower should be possible to develop but it lies not in our interest at the moment. Maybe later. ;)

My USS Redfish, the boat that played the role of the Nerka in Run Silent, Run Deep, has been waiting to get that tower installed.

What modifications did you make (obviously the fore deck railing is gone)? Are you looking at changing the water deflector as well?

I'm a fan of the movie and have it on DVD and I too look forward to this great Hollywood Conning Tower! I am kind of wondering a little though if this is only going to be compatible with the Stock game. I play TMO_1.63 + RSRDC_TMOv163_V410. Naturally, I would find it to be awesome if it were possible to use it with that Mod combo, but of course understand if that is also beyond the scope of this mod. Whatever the case I think it's just great you're doing this!
