Big thanks to GWX team and OLC! Your hard work is appreciated.

Jawohl, 16 km ROCKS! Don't leave port without it!

jaxa 01-02-09 05:03 PM

Yeah, 16km atmosphere looks very well indeed.
But it would be look better with white caps of waves like in real - is it possible to create it?.
Using GWX 2.1 I had enabled Sober's 3D Waves mod, which make waves better looking, but in GWX 3.0 it doesn't work so good.

I made the whole thing FFS. It took months! A thousand customised colours, half a dozen new environment textures made from scratch, not to mention the various graphical bug fixes... then you guys reset three things to stock values (underwater visibility distance, bumpmap scale, moon reflection) and now my involvement is "a big part"? :nope:

Just messing. :p

No I'm not.

Yes I am. :yep:

No I'm not.

OLC, thanks for all your work
OLCE is fundamental part of GWX 3.0, before version 3.0 was absolutely must have for many player. When I discovered your OLCE I understood how it change this game, not only in visual aspect (although it looks perfect). The most important thing for me is possibility to attack convoys on surface in deep nights without detection (only when night is really dark night), like it was in real war patrols during WW2.
Thanks again.

I installed GWX 3.0 for the first time last night, as part of the testing for my mod. I got chills as I went to the external cam & looked at the horizon. OLC +GWX really captures the epic feel of the Atlantic battle like nothing else. The war rages, the Tribal's are out there somewhere hunting for you, and you may come home with 50,000 tons or not come home at all... fine work by all those involved.

Yep, it is amazing how much can people do to the game with the moding knowledge and enthusiasm they have. Every time I think that it is it they reached the limit of possibilities, moders still do something unimaginable good.

All we need is good men obviuosly

jaxa 01-03-09 11:56 AM

OLC, is it possible to add some whitecaps on waves in GWX 3.0? It would be look more real.

StarLion45 01-03-09 12:11 PM
