Frustrated installer
 

So I followed all the steps..... deleted SH3 and all the associated nos that goes with it.

Re-install SH3 and get starforce update software.....

Try to run update tool, says theres no programs that need updating..... download again, same line.....

Start vanilla SH3..... "needs xp/me/2000/98 compatible machine" message....

Change the settings to run as such, same warning.....

Getting really mad, cause its my favourite game, and I cant figure out the simplest thing.


Am I retarted?? Can SOMEONE help me before I smach my CD to bits?

I think with the starforce update you need to run the game first to run the starfoce on your machine
THEN run the update so it has something to update

Running it before you first run SH3 it will find no starforce

Afteralot of frustration and hair pulling (and one hella sarcastic response :P) I have finally broken down and bought a used PC that has XP on it. Im getting it tomorrow (same specs as my old one that ran GWX the original without a hitch) and Ill be sinking the tonnage ASAP! Im pretty stoked, and cant wait!
