I need to get up to speed

Gents:

I've been away from the game for a while and was hoping someone could point me to the latest mod updates and popular add ons. I have SH 1.5 and use to play with RFB and I think RSRD and some of the evironmental add ons. I just can't recall what mods are compatible anymore :(:88)

Thanks

Get the latest RFB and RSRDC and you'll be ready to roll. Their readmes talk about which goes with which.

Besides what Tater suggested, might I also suggest installing OM (Operation Monsoon) found in the ATO Mods "stickie". This mod, also created by the maker of RSRD adds an Atlantic campaign fot the U Boats:yep:

I'm new to this as well and I'm a bit confused. I want to install RFB and RSRDC. The install instructions for each say to the effect "install the main file first, and then the patches" but I'm thinking I don't need to install patches? This is what I think I need to do:

1. Install SH4 Gold
2. Using JSGME install RFB_v1.52_102408
3. Using JSGME install RSRDC_RFBv15_V396

Sound right or am I missing something?

Thanks for all your help.

From the RSRD "stickie" section: Install with JSGME in the following order

RFB_v152
RFB_patches (if required)
RSRDC_RFBv15_v396

There is a patch for RFB, so don't forget that.

Which RFB patch do I need to install? When looking at the RFB download options I see:
  • RFB 1.52 File
  • RFB 1.52 Patch
  • RFB 1.52 Manual
Now my assumption was RFB 1.52 File was the full installation package for RFB 1.52 and RFB 1.52 Patch was an incremental upgrade if you already had a previous version (say 1.4).

But what you are saying is I need to download and install both 'RFB 1.52 File' and 'RFB 1.52 Patch'?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You need both the main 1.52 install and the patch.
