war ace 3.0 problems
 

Has anyone else had a problem with getting this to run after enabling?

I have tried everything but it still wont go.

I have a new install, modded to 1.4 and no other mods enabled but this one.

The game starts fine but then I get the stock game intro scenes up to and including starting a mission- is this normal?

Any offers of help would be much appreciated.

I have installed it with jsgme but will try the way you suggest and let you know what happens.

Hi!
If you choose JSME to install WAC3.0 you have to be patience!
It depends on your system how long it takes to copy all files but it may take 15-20 minutes.
If you wanna be sure all files are installed on the right way, copy all files manually to their folder like Mikhayl said.

With WAC3.0 installed you will also get a new intro movie, new loadings screens and new menu screens ;)

Nvidia 8800gts

3 gigs of ram

Vista 32bit.

Hm... with your system you should get much better FPS. I have a C2duo and a 8800gt and I get about 20 FPS in big harbours like Wilhelmshaven and more than 60 FPS at sea with vsync enabled.

but your resolution and driver settings are also important. what settings do you have there? I use 1280x1024 resolution and 4x antialiasing & 8xaf

1680x1050 at 60 hz

and the most recent drivers.

yea, I had to have done something rong.

Im getting great FPS in Gwx with thomsons water 4.0. In harbor.

I got mine going by manually copying the new game files into the SH3 folder rather than via jsgme and it worked fine, the intro and a training mission, so I saw how glorious it was.
Trouble is, I then loaded a new campaign and it bombed to the desk top which I am still trying to fix!
How frustrating!

Sounds still like a bad install to me!

Be sure all 3 .7zip archives arre from one server, do not mix from different servers.
After a clean install you definitely can start the campaign ;)

SOS the unzipped folder has to be some 4,53GB. Also, try to unload your memory with everything not needed (start with 250MB max). Do defrags and diskcleanups and most important: 1680x1050 is too much! Try a 4/3 ratio in 4/3 aspect, even in wide monitor. Nvidias can do that. This way you will have much better FPS!GUARANTEED!

Try a clean install, uninstall game, remember to erase the sh3 folder at My Documents... defrag your hard drive, install game, install patch, and do... "copy and paste" of the WAC files... do not use any program to install. Works fine. :up:
