Increase more enemy ship!

Hello Seamen.

I start up a new career for voyage in late 1939- and when I have a new grid
for example in AN sector,or AL there are very few of enemy ship, or nothing most of the time, I have a lot of experience of sailing widespread in SH2/SH3, now I use GWX for the last 4 month and that is more "hard work" and nothing wrong at all, maybe I need more work and luck to have tonnage on my sinking list or shall I add, some other important mods to have more of enemy? I like GWX and the fact, so can u advise me for some conclusion, the last 3 patrol gives me zero... I always get into enemy water for hunting and the port or bases...but I need also "more basic ships"

Since you're playing GWX, you'll also have a map in the game that shows the route taken by convoys. If you stick to them , you might have a better chance of encountering ships.

But, in the end...encountering a convoy is purely luck.

There's plenty of ships out there, you just need a bit of a luck and some knowledge to find them.

As mentioned above, check the map to see where's the concentration of shipping lanes.

Early in the war you can hunt around UK coast without much opposition from RAF or RN. Check the area around AN26, there's usualy a lot of single ships there.
Another good spot is AM53. There's a good chance you'll find a convoy there, and a lot of single merchants.
On the south there's a lot of ships entering the channel between England and Ireland. Further southwest is a good spot to intercept convoys (BE36-BF17).
You mentioned the AL sector. You probably won't find a lot of single ships, but can spot a convoy or two.

Maybe you should take a more active role while searching for the ships. Every few hours dive and personally listen for the propeler noise. You can hear ships 30km away, while your sonar officer will rarely detect anything beyond 20km. On surface, the watch crew can see a ship from no more than 16km, if the visibility allows, and you have GWX 16km atmosphere mod installed.

Good hunting! :arrgh!:

Mate it's not a suggestion! We are forcing you lol! jk!:rotfl: When i was a noob, and whinning about. OMG so boring there is no a single schiff!
Honestly the day i use the convoy route from the map i most of the time bump one!:p
In 1939? You still can make alot, hmm maybe warship?

Active Part!!

Well I have 16KM but I dont use it, The sonar man is sometimes a man on recreation trip somewhere in the med, so I must have more fokus om my ears, THX fore your supply

Also remember that GWX is meant to be a 'realism' mod, and in real life encounters were few and far between, with many u-boats making whole patrols without ever running across a single enemy ship.

Take a random trip through these listing. Mostly you'll find one ship sunk per patrol, or less. The game gives us far more than we deserve.:sunny:
