Camera view question

Hi all,
I was just wondering if there is a way to unlock the external camera view for my sub. Because i've seen several tutorials, vids on you tube etc, where the sub seems to "sail by" the camera, or towards it. At the moment in MY game, i only have a camera view that rotates around my sub 360 degrees. Plus, i'm not sure what "cinematic camera" does either. Can't seem to find anything in the manuals unless i've missed em... I've only recently got this sim, so i'm busy getting used to it. Tryin to learn about sonar at mo...
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanx.
Stephen.
P.S. Just noticed "Bilge Rat"................ LMAO.

You simply unfocus the item in map .. by clicking on empty space in map.

You can use right button for moving the camera forward and backward then. It looks like zoom but it is actual camera moving, you can turn the camera anywhere and move there. Real zoom is not available (AFAIK).

Hi Stevee620, welcome to the forum!

You can do that when you are in the Navigation Display window (where you have a 2D and 3D). On your 2D display your ship is selected. Make the 2D map smaller of the 2. Select a location from where you want to view your ship coming from or going and click on the empty space(anywhere on the map) of the smaller 2D screen and you will see your ship only moving/sail away in the 3D display. I use that option quite a lot.
