People actually believe this crap?

History's greatest conspiracy theories

Raptor1 12-06-08 03:53 PM

Of course, it's all a part of the International Communist Conspiracy, everybody knows that

subchaser12 12-06-08 03:59 PM

No of course not. I unblinkingly and unquestionably believe every single word the government tells me.

So what there just happened to be a military exercise going on the morning of 9/11 and Britian's 7-7. Just a coincidence. The government said it was the brown people, so it's the brown people.

Nothng to see here....

Seriously though, some of those are pure BS, some are not.

Chemtrails is bullcrap.
9/11 and 7/7 were government false flag jobs.
Kennedy was killed by the military industrial complex (vague answer, but lone gunman my ass.)
Flouridation is bad, I reverse osmosis my own water and don't get flouridated. I feel 20 years younger and I can actually think clearly. Try it.
Pearl Harbor was a forcing of Japans hand.
Moscow Apartment buildings, yes another false flag government job.
North American Union was on the drawing board, but internet exposure shut it down, for now.
MK-ULTRA is real, well documented too.
Diana was killed by her own people. The British Royal family was not interested in marrying the Arabs. Thats obvious.
UFOs are real, all those videos and sightings are not all drunks and weatherballoons. I mean when is the last time you got drunk and saw aliens? I've been drunk my fair share, I would have loved to see aliens. Didn't happen.

I don't care about the other silly celebrity stuff, Elvis, Beatles etc.

The excerpt about 9/11 is priceless.

Thanks to the power of the web and live broadcasts on television, the conspiracy theories surrounding the events of 9/11 - when terrorists attacked the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington - have surpassed those of Roswell and JFK in traction.

I love how they say "damn that live TV and internet", it used to be so damn easy to lie about events that were not recorded live in front of the world. The Lusitania, Tonkin Gulf, Maine etc. haha

Biggles 12-06-08 04:22 PM

Well there's alot of nutters out there.

I've met a number of people claiming that 9/11 hasn't even taken place! Now, I live in Sweden, and, ofcourse, you could shut your eyes as much as you want when you aren't 100% sure that NYC exists. But I've been in NY 4 times, first time August 2001, and last time January this year. And I can assure you all that I am pretty sure that there is at least two buildings less on Manhattan since my first visit.

Then "Paul is Dead"....that's an old one, and as a Beatles fan, I have to say, it's complete pants. They claim they found a "look-a-like" and a "Sound-a-like". If they really did, then what's the problem? Why hide Paul's death? If they found a replacement, then the band could carry on.

Raptor1 12-06-08 04:25 PM

No, don't you see, they completely rebuilt NYC in the night someplace else, secretly moved all the people there, changed every map on the planet then destroyed the fake WTC in the new location

It's all true!

You seem to be very well informed....:hmm:

Blacklight 12-06-08 04:36 PM

Of course there's always the rainbow in the sprinkler conspiracy !

@Biggles - Yes, this knowledge comes from reliable sources in the US government, which would like to remain anonymous

I didn't even know about most of these but my favourite would be #14 "Paul is dead", funky :D

It's sad that conspiracies aren't a crime anymore.

Spoon 11th 12-06-08 05:39 PM

So what's the true story behind those half a million plastic coffins and rumored c. camps?

Schöneboom 12-06-08 05:41 PM

#19 is the one with the most staying power and massive potential for harm. Early 20th C. history shows that even members of the European & American ruling classes believed in the grand conspiracy theory of their time: the Freemasons, the Jews, and the Communists. When the government itself believes in conspiracy theory, look out!!! :o

Sailor Steve 12-06-08 06:09 PM

Fun stuff. I was around for 'Paul Is Dead' the first time.

All a great joke. Still, the true believers will tell you that they 'know' some of them are real.

Biggles 12-06-08 06:14 PM

Hang on...they didn't mention denial of the Holocaust? Not that I'd ever deny it's existence, but quite a few people do, apparently.

I hope you are joking. You yearn for the glory days where anyone questioning government official stories were sent away in the night to the gulag where they would "commit suicide"?

If you are serious, well Stalin would completely agree with you.

This is why I love America. I can say Putin is a sociopath who should be shot, Bush needs to be confined to his farm and the Queen gets it on with horses. Oh yeah and Allah is the creation of a pedophile nomad. I can go to sleep tonight knowing no one will break my door down for saying these things on the internets. :p

Good point! I didn't even notice that.
