I don't think the effects on a herbivore necessarily indicate the effect on a carnivore.

I think rats/mice are cats natural food. We live on a small farm and my wife is spoiling our "mousers" by buying them these canned cat foods. It gets them to where they no longer even pay attention to a rat or mouse if they happen to stumble onto one.

They really should come out with a rat/mouse flavor cat food, you know? I mean if we are suddenly faced with an invasion of salmon or tuna (with egg bits) our cats will know what to do!

As for cheeseburgers I have yet to see her offer them one but it is probably because she hasn't thought of it yet.

I don't claim to be a mouse expert, so you might be right. Never heard of a mouse eating meat though...
