So um. Not sure what I did wrong here the install is GWX2.1 + fixes + torpedo damage mod 2.0 + lifeboats&debris3b. Found out today that OLCE2 existed at all and wanted to try it. Enabled in JGSME, it works but it looks like hell. I tried fiddling with video cards graphic with aa from application/off to 16x, same with af, and nothing happened. Furthermore the OLCE2 GUI seems to work but it causes a glitch that makes all the torpedoes invisible in the loadout screen. Quite annoying :hmm:

Just to be clear, this shot was taken at about 11:00. I went through a couple game days in time acceleration and nothing changed. At night the sea gets darker but the sky remains the same all the time. Anybody seen this before?

sounds like a conflicting mod.

what are all of the enabled mods you have?

That happened to me before.. but it was due to a conflict with another mod, the Clearwater mod if I remember correctly.

When I enabled the clearwater mod, it gave me a warning regarding a possible collision against OLCE2. Maybe you should disable any other mods that interfere with OLCE2.

My mods after removing things the olce readme said were incompatible along with the torpedo and lifeboat mods...
GWX - English nav map and grid refs
GWX - Late war sensors
GWX - Lite harbor traffic
GWX - Das Boot movie
GWX - VIIC41 player sub - (I'm really not sure what that one does by the way, if someone could explain :know:)

Just took those 6 alone in JGSME and loaded with SH3Commander and everything was perfect.

And then those I'm trying to add are
OLCE2
OLCE2 - Adjusted GWX2.1 Enhanced Damage Effects
OLCE2 - Fixed GWX 2.1 Ship Reflections
OLC GUI Special - this causes the above mentioned invisible torpedo problem... otherwise it works perfectly though.

I tried combinations and pretty much narrowed down the problem to OLCE2 beacause the uglyness persists if I load with it alone and none of the others. I guess that narrows down the problem but now how do I fix it.

You are not alone in experiencing a black sky during daytime with OLCE2. I also had the identical display issue on my computer (Dell Vostro 1500, 2 GB ram, 2.2 GHz, Nvidia 8600M GT) when I tried the GWX2 16 km Atmosphere mod. OLCE2 is based on the 16 km Atmosphere, so that mod seems to be the common element.

Can someone explain why the 16 km Atmosphere mod is problematic with some computers?

I played around and sunk a couple ships with the dark sky and some death metal music. Kinda gives the game a different feel, but I'd still love it fixed. My video card is an e-Geforce 9600GTS running with driver version 178.13 if that can help...

I run the game with OLC Ubermod installed, along with with the "Realistic Torpedo Damage" Mod and the "Lifeboats and Debris V3" Mod. No conflicts at all.
If you like, try enabling the Ubermod mod package last.

Disable the GWX 16km atmosphere mod...you have a conflict between the two scene.dat Sim files http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif
