The search button
I have an issue with the search feature and basically it's this - searches automatically seem to filter out three letter words as being too small to be usable
Is it possible to edit this, or enter exceptions that it will search for? I think this would be useful because there are several common 3 letter abbreviations and words that are useful in our area of interest eg. AOB TMO GWX Nav eye TMA RFB and some others too, i'm sure IS it possible to alter the terms of the search mechanism? joe |
Umm... the way this works, if you want a feature added to the forum, you must research and submit a feasibility study. It should inlcude links to the instructions on how to make the changes or mods. Haven't you learned anything in the years you've worked with me?

This something I hate on forums! Some time ago I was searching for an art thread I started, now of course, the search engine didnt accept the 'art thread' search. :damn:

To search for 3 letter words, use the wild card *,
So to search for GWX, use GWX*, to find ART THREAD, use ART* THREAD...(also, in the art thread case use the +, which will find all threads with both words, not threads with each word separately, ART*+THREAD.) ;) |
Genius!!
