More disturbing news from Iran

Iran now has enough material to produce its first nuke.

"They clearly have enough material for a bomb," said Richard Garwin, a top nuclear physicist who helped invent the hydrogen bomb and has advised Washington for decades. "They know how to do the enrichment. Whether they know how to design a bomb, well, that's another matter."
Point being, THEY don't have to make one. just refine the raw material and sell it to someone who can... :shifty:

It wouldn't surprise me if Bush decided to bomb Iran before he left office.

Not that I want him to, nor do I think it's the right thing to do (it isn't) but if it happens I wouldn't be surprised.

Bush/Cheney think the answer to everything is to feed the military industrial complex and will search for any excuse to do so. They tried to build a case for Iran a few times, and I hope this isn't the beginning of another attempt.

It is more likely that the Israelis will do the smack down.. that's what they did with Saddam's nuclear facility in the 80's or so.

Well, I could've always said what I really think, buuut I think I keep it to myself. There's few 'über-Patriots' here at SubSim that prolly would add me to their deathlist. :hmm:

I'll see your post count and raise you...

Back to topic, I don't think Iran will be caught like Iraq was with Israel. It would be very hard to take out the production centre. Wherever they can build one doesn't matter as much as theie ability to say that they can. A great thing to point around to keep people you don't want away from you and trying to alter the game. Wait till oil hits US$40 a barrell and see what they say then!

That's why I wear fissionable material in the morning: for men.

Also:
Letum's guide to understanding physics:

Like all liquids, electricity is blue. You can't see it in wires because it is
always right in the middle. Lightbulbs work by changing the colour of
electricity.

Like all poisons, radiation is green. It is easy to avoid as it makes a loud
clicking sound. If you can get lots of radiation to make one loud click at the
same time a nuclear explosion happens.

Magnetism is red, as are all magnets. Magnets lead to the north pole because
that is where they are from. They always return there to die.

Gravity is invisible, but if it wasn't it would be Yellow. There is no gravity on the
moon. If there was gravity on the moon it would be coved in apples. Gravity
has an extremely powerful effect on apples, but no effect on aeroplanes.
It is impossible to carry apples in aeroplanes. They just won't take off.

That's not what my Physics professor told our class:nope: Just goes to show ya that public edumacation isn't what it's cracked up to be:D
