Best Interior Sound Mod Combination?
 

I found some very interesting looking mods to add ambient sound to the interior of both US boats and U boats. I would like to have the very best most realistic sounds, and saw Poul's Sound Mod and read carefully the discussion about adding a US version to have Dive Dive instead of Achtung..... i hope that the add on i saw from Dave will achieve that for the US Boats...

I also saw an Ambientsub interior sound mod....

I also plan to add the radio mods those sound great.

Can anyone give me some guidance on the current best full interior and crew sounds mods to use? I am starting with the vanilla install as soon as the game gets here, and would welcome some advice.

And if this topic should be located in the mod section pls advise or move (mods) as i was not sure, as i saw mostly REQ and REL notes in the mod sectoin. thank you for any help on this.

You can find some great sounds in the Thomson's sound mod.
And Spax's Sh4 U boat Speech Fix V7 ( german sounds )

You can listen to the sounds with goldwave and you can replace them in the sound file from SH4. Make sure you name it the same as it was before in the sound map.

About that goldwave. You only need that if you want to listen to the speech files, sounds like yes captain or standard propulsion.

Back to subject.
I alsow changed those anoying sounds ;)
And you can experience with those sounds a bit.

In example when you press the fire button of the torpedo launcher you hear a clickin sound. But when you listen closely you can hear the torpedo leave the sub wich makes a sound. You search for it in the sound file of SH4 and it's name is Torpedo_tubes. I mixed a loud Tuuuuuuuut sound with steaming sound at the end with goldwave. Put that sound in place of that Torpedo_Tubes and you are set to go.

ys i would like to hear that. there is indeed a sound of the compressed air shooting out of the tube that is very distinctive.....i have heard it on the old boats, no i was not on active service, but yes i have had the chance to hear it :)

Yes i have the version sof R.U.I.M already in my stack of DVD's of mods, both reg and high res...as i hope to try them. thanks. ys there are amazing mods being made in lots of areas...quite remarkable. :)
