Promotions and awards.
 

My next question is a 'how to' again.

Having finished my first patrol I was able to award crewmembers with various decorations. However when I went to the promotions area I saw, on the left of the screen, a column showing icons with three stripes, I presumed that these were possible promotions to be awarded but I could neither drag them directly to the crew members position in the crew dispositon area nor could I do so when I highlighted the crewman and draged it down to his crew detail and history area.

What am I missing?

Left click on the medal on the left of the screen, the elligable crew members will 'highlight', drag the medal over the crew members portrait and drop.

Two things to note. Its the portrait of the crew member not his bio / description.

The mouse cursor will be slightly offset from the medal, place the mouse cursor not the medal over the crewman you wish to award.
