Here is an Introduction Video for Silent Hunter based on Victory At Sea. Maybe you will like it. Old_tex http://files.filefront.com/VASwmv/;12302318;/filei

I have used a similar (shorter) opening 'logo' movie since I first installed SH4.

One needs to rename, as most know I assume, your VAS.wmv file to Logo.wmv and replace the original/default SilentHunter\Data\Movies\Logo.wmv

Here's my short version of a VictoryatSea opening:

I also replaced the 2+minute UBI 'Poem' Intro movie, which follows the logo movie...SilentHunter\Data\Movies\Intro.wmv

What is the name of the poem in the SH4 intro?

It is called "On Time" by John Milton.

Who needs either? Personally I just click ( Esc ) both of them and start game loading. Any opening "Logo" drive me nuts.

They need this under them :/\\: so you could sink them. :arrgh!: :DL

I like the opening video a lot. I still watch my dvds of that show. I still wish I had my Roy Rogers easy chair to sit in like I did when it was on TV. What would really be nice is to marry the video with a high quality stereo recording of the theme. I was a huge fan of the series as a kid and bought the stereo recordings of all the Victory at Sea music conducted by Robert Russel Bennett and the NBC Shmphony.

Those discs are still in my possesion in storage along with my Howdy Doody albums and the priceless recording of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" by Gene Autry. I found both Victory at Sea recordings on CD available online and have ordered them.
