Traditionally when a President leaves office, he'll issue pardons or commute sentences of convicted criminals.

Any speculation on who Bush will pardon? Keep in mind, he can grant a pardon for anyone who hasn't been accused of a crime, preventing them from ever being prosecuted. Ford did this for Nixon.

He could close Guantanamo, not only correccting a terrible fault that way, but also stealing Obama the show who will close it anyway. Now that would be something.

Making them subject to regular examinations and court proceedings according to the law like every other suspect, like it should have been done from the very beginning.
