GREAT skin
 Love this skin!! A beautiful and faithful rendition of a real boat.
I much prefer the accurate historical based look over the fantasy or camo type skins. Thanks very much for sharing this!! |
OMG this is one hell of a skin. GREAT JOB .
Thank you for sharing this. |
Hi Yamato,
Superb work! Looks really authentic! Would be great to have the 2nd Flotilla emblem on the front of the conning tower and Harald Lange´s shell emblem on the sides, but as far as I know, the way SHIII renders texture to the objects, this is not possible! Thanks for giving us such a nice skin! |
That would make a nice Monsun boat skin http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif

Looks awful! Get some sailors to work painting that thing, or I'll tell BdU!
Naw, looks fantastic, mate! Awfully weathered - just like the real thing. |

Hi Yamato,
I found these two pictures from U-861, a IX D2 Monsun boat under the command of Jürgen Oesten, returning from Southeast Asia to Trondheim in Norway on the 19th of April 1945. Interesting to see how "worn-out" the boats looked after those long patrols, far from shiny and new! http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll310/arnd278/01.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll310/arnd278/02.jpg Would make a nice skin, too!;) Cheers, Kurfürst |
