Grey wolves and vista
 

Hey everyone. Long time reader, first time writing. I would have written into here earlier, but I just finished a 197 day around the world Persian Gulf deployment with the Canadian navy. Good times!
Kind of odd to think that after all that time on the ocean getting sick as a cow that I would want to play a ship simulator, but I guess theres just something wrong in my noggin'.
Anyhoo, Ill get to the point here and stop wasting folks time with this reading stuff.
I just bought a nifty new computer, but it came with thatSUPER AWESOME vista crap that no one seems to enjoy.
After finding my SH3 disc from where my ex wife stashed it when she left, I ran it up and hunted high and low to find the 1.4b upgrade, grey wolfs 2.0, then 2.1.
I installed 'em after finally figuring out the entire process (Im not a computer guy..... I can find the boobies on here, and thats about it), it tells me that it wont run with vista.
I do a bit of reading, and findd that theres that little starforce walkaround thinggy that ya can download, so I do such a thing (this is after already trying the "run as" mode), but it says theres no files to read, and alas, I am sitting here in a boring quiet house looking to sink some tonnage, and have to drink beers instead.
Can someone give me a cyber smack up side the noggin and let me know what I am doing wrong please if there is a way to do it.
And although I am a first time poster, I am far from a first time reader, and I will continue to post here. (I just ask this as I cant find the proper way to do this noise)

IIRC you have to install game somewhere else besides C: Program files\ UBI\SH3

Thanks alot. Once I get it all working again, you will hear waaaaay too much from me. I was only on shore for less than 50 days in the last 365, so I havent had too much time this year to rack up tonnage
