[REQ] USS Prinz Eugen? Maybe playable?
This idea just got into my mind while looking around with German ships and playing NF at the same time. Though she's on the axis side during the war, I wonder if we make a what if type thing where she's in the USN.
Here's a few pics. 22.1.1946 Part of the German crew leave Prinz Eugen in Boston. http://www.collectrussia.com/sBoot/PG/action57.jpg At the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Turret Anton's guns are removed for examination. http://www.collectrussia.com/sBoot/PG/action50.jpg 1946, the last view of the Prinz Eugen under steam. Secretly taken from fantail of DD-786, USS Richard B. Anderson. Photo Patrick http://www.collectrussia.com/sBoot/PG/action63.jpg From this site: http://www.prinzeugen.com/PGHistory.htm Still trying the find the camo pattern that the Prinz Eugen wore during USN hands. Would be nice to play this ship under the US Flag, just saying, doesn't alway have to be historical. All she did while part of the USN was move around, get nuked a couple of times and then towed before capsizing
Don't think she was even repainted from her original colors |
Never repainted, only moved to nuke site and lost. thats her US history in a nutshell. We at TSWSM, are not going to include her in TSWSM Version 2 USN Mod. If you really want her, When we release TSWSM V1 KM-RN-RAN Mod, I could just PM you one.
