USS George Washington, Manga-style
|
The right-to-left format makes me confused and disoriented
|
That's pretty cool. The "old manga" style reminds me a bit of the anime series Zipang - where a moder Aegis ship gets transported back in time. Do recommend checking it out, for those who aren't averse to the style - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVYNLb0nXe0 |

Yes, that series was good in every way except the "ending". I can't understand why they did that. Unless they were planning another series, and it never happened. It was a bit of an anti-climax after the awesome battle against the Hornet and the divebombers. Still, it was very enjoyable watching it up to then. Lots of technical detail in that series - more than I've seen in any naval-related live action movie lately. |
IIRC the Zipang manga wasn't finished (and still isn't) when they made the anime, so they could only make up to a certain point, they might make an ending when the manga ends
BTW, that was the Wasp, not the Hornet |
Using 'comics' is nothing new. The armed forces have been doing that since WWII.
BTW other than the formatting it really dident look very manga like to me. |
