Doom 3:rotfl:
On a serious note, maybe one of the Sims or the Theme games (Theme Hospital is an oldie but goodie).

Silent hunter 4!

Nah.

Peggle is good fun.

SimCity?

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3!!!!!!!!!!

How about an adventure game? The Lost Crown was pretty good.

The Hoyle card games are always popular with the old folk. It depends on what your mum likes.

Might help if we had some clue of what your mother is like, and may like.

The obvious one is of course Peggle from @#%$@#$ popcap (i strongly dislike Popcap for reasons i shall not get into). Its extremely popular with people who are not gamers who wish to play a video game (as is most of Popcap's dull and repeditive lineup). Other things she may like are the online card games, and the card games that come with windows, along with commercial games to that effect.

As dumb as this may sound.

How about a game where you start up a company and build it up.

There's alot of those out there in that genre at a reasonable price.

Better find out what your mum likes... It'll go bad for you if you get her Peggle and she wants to thrash on COD4! ;)

FIREWALL 10-31-08 01:57 PM

Whadda they know. I like my idea better. :D

Wolfehunter 10-31-08 02:15 PM

Dispite EA's issue with DRMs I would suggest Spore or the sims 2.

Also look into games like cake mania, dinner dash, etc. 2D action puzzle games.

Btw Anybody that buys a Laptop with those specs ain't OLD. :D
