I tried to import this model into 3DS Max 9 using plug-in ColladaMax_FREE_3.05B ... and I have received the submarine taken to pieces which have been far located from each other ... Autodesk .DAE plug-in does not import this model absolutely ... But you can find this model in VUE format ... :rotfl: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...896#post957896 and in Maya binary (little bit other model): http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=142274 |

Was anyone interested in any of those models? I was able to get the typhoon and akula exported to an obj file with the pro trial version.

got a few more models I received including the PT109 if ever..
|
Keltos, that really wasn't the PT109. The 109 was painted forest creen with red anti fouling paint underneath. The boat is a PT 103 Class ELCO. The dazzle paintjob was tried but found to require too much maintenence time to keep up. So it didn't last long. Actually it should look more like this 1/20 scale R/C model paint job.
http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...ad_B/pt109.jpg The paint is a little too light though on this model. If you see the movie PT109 with Cliff Robertson, they get the color right in there. I do like the dazzle paint myself, and was going to paint my Dumas 1/20 scale R/C model the same. Too bad they don't make it anymore. It was a great kit with a preformed fiberglass hull. If I ever get the chance to build another one, that is how I'm going to paint it up. In the dazzle camo, as it is just so cool lookin'. |
