Curious...No wet weather clothing

Hi all, just noticed my crew resolutely refuse to wear their oilskins even in a high mid-atlantic sea!!!

I'm worried the poor dears will catch a nasty cold, specially Klaus and his weak chest.....

I've included a list of my enabled mods, I'm running GWX 2.1, OLCE2 plus crew skins, GUI special, enhanced damage and reflections and Thomsen Water 3.1 also Lifeboats & Debris v3b

Could any of these excellent mods have provoked my crews foolhardiness in poor weather? Is it possible that bad-weather gear is only applied when it is raining, rather than in high sea conditions with wind?

Thanks in advance

Rotate the Crew once and they will!

If the Watch-Crew gets into a Strom or bad weather, they will not change the gear.
By themselves.

They only do so, if it already is bad weather when you surfaced.

Wonky SH3 mechanics:doh:!

Another possible cause of this is if you tweak your U-boat cfg files to use the deck gun in bad weather.

GWX could make a little difference, simply because wet-weather gear is directly tied in with gun availability at different storm levels. It has been tweaked so the deck and flak guns are available at higher sea states, which means that they also don't dress for the weather at those same states.

Unfortunately it's either one or the other. But still, those states are not near the highest (11 I think is where most are set now, rather than 7 as in the stock game), so I would first follow Myxale's advise and rotate the crew.
