Damn Schnorkel!

Constantly harassed by the airplanes, I decided to continue my voyage submerged, Low on air and battery power, I raised my newly installed Schnorkel.
About 15 minutes later - kaboom! Both periscopes destroyed, radar and radio antennas destroyed, Schnorkel destroyed (it got what it deserved!)...

Now I'm considering my options - go back to base for repairs, or continue my patrol hunting lonely merchants and attacking only at night. :-?

Go back to base, Most adviseable thing to do in my opinion.;) :yep:

FIREWALL 10-12-08 01:44 PM

Blind and Deaf ? Go back to Port.

meduza 10-12-08 01:59 PM

Well, I'm not quite deaf, my hydrophones are still in perfect condition. :D
Still, I'm going to return to base, maybe I got lucky on my way.

The thing is, I don't want to loose a month sitting in the port because I'd like to accumulate as much renown and get the command of XXI before the war is over.

What year is it.:hmm:

meduza 10-12-08 02:27 PM

March 1944.
The voyage home begun well: I'm attacking two unescorted small merchants as we speak :arrgh!:.

Task Force 10-12-08 02:30 PM

Hope you get the tonage.;)

Thanx :sunny:

I have 15k now, managed to sink a Victory cargo before my "accident".

The funny thing is, although my schnorkel is destroyed, it's still functional. i'm just not able to lower it. :rotfl:

Isn't it available later in '44 or early '45?
