Is v-sync broken in sh4?
Hi
Is v-sync broken in sh4? If I enable in game or via nvidia control panel, fraps still shows around 85 fps. The screen tearing is driving me nuts Running Sh4 v1.5, TMO 152, PE4 nvidia 8800gts(640), 60hz lcd @1680x1050, Vista 32bit |
Beats me! My frame rates have never been high enough to try it!:ping:

It may be related to your Nvidia driver settings. I run an ATi card and I have V-sync forced from CCC and have no problems with it. I am also able to force 8x AA. If you cant get V-sync on try using as much AA filters as you can, as it may slow the game engine down a bit and stop the tearing.

Enable it it NVidia control panel, then enable it in SH4 and restart the game. It definitely should work.

There is a own topic for tweaking Nvidia's cards. Mine works fine with these settings: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=196

V-Sync works for me. Without it the game will stutter a lot.

It works for me.

Boy I would love to have those problems! But the game plays OK at 20 fps, and it puts me in position to help people with marginal systems.

I play with V sync off, I get 50+ frames all the time.:D

I don't use it either, but I don't have any tearing or other anomylies.
In your Nvidia Control Panel, try setting v-sync to application controlled, and see if that helps. That way it's on call for games that need it. And it won't interfere with those that don't. Then set your v-sync to on in the options menu in the game. |
Cheers for the replys, thats it working now
