Medford, Wisconsin Trip of 2008

Ever since joining you folks, I have posted my annual trip to this place showing you the guns we used.

We have been doing it since April 17,1983. We go up there and shoot guns at tin cans full of water with various guns for days on end. This year, our 25th anniversary, we decided on "no guns" trip. Man did I have a great time anyway. Froze my butt off on 2 of the 4 mornings using the out-house to make a deposit when the tempature was at 20 degrees F with no winter coat in my possesion.

Here is a WMV file for 2008 that I put together with some music. It's 14 minutes long and has a joke at the end and my bad transition at the end.

It's sad to see us, years later, now with gray hair, or no hair - depressing in fact. I worked with these guys for 20+ years before starting my own business.

It's a 35-meg download, no big deal if you have DSL or broadband.

If you like GUNS, then you can look at all the other years [pre-2008] with the link provided a few paragraphs below:

WARNING - be patient - it make time 30-60 seconds to generate all the thumbnails for the folders/pictures on your FIRST visit. After that, they pop up on your screen ... FAST, if not instantly.

The gun years --- are here for viewing clicking on this link:

BTW?

Why Medford, WI? It's the home of EVERY frozen Tombstone Pizza made in the U.S.A. If Tombstone Pizza fails ... kiss that town good-bye.

Our ACTUAL location is 20 miles Northeast of the town on farmland property.

We are so far north in the USA when we go there, on some years we can catch the tail end of the Aurora Borealis. Saw it 3-4 times first hand over the 25 years. But, back then [late 80's/early 90's there were no digital cameras to capture it - damn].

Yes the food was excellent and I did manage to get a steak or three down my neck to assist in the digestion of the local brews.
