Some mods I've been lookin fer.
I have been looking for a few mods I used to have before I lost all my data. I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction?? some names I'm not so sure on.
The mods are: Captain Cox's map table mod. P2P's periscope mod There was a mod to make the islands greener. I think it was a mod by Sober. Also is there a 1.5 version of the night attack chrono package or those nice hamilton chronos? |
it seems some of this stuff is already in other mod packs?? Can any one confirm this? I know Sober has a mod pack that may include the greener island fix and I am wondering about compatability with mods like PE 4, RFB, TriggerMaru. I need the help I've been out of the loop since a PC crash and lots of stuff has changed. Many mods I enjoyed from older versions are lost to me. Thanks

simple:
go to the captains list, find the modder, go to their profile and click on "see their threads started", find the mod your looking for. if that doesnt work then your sol also many older mods wont work with the new game anyway so finding them may not help you. |
The mods I am looking for do work for all versions. I was hoping the captains of the mods themsleves might pop in the thread with some helpful info. Thank you for the tip Webster I'll try you suggestion some more. It's really hard to figure out all the different changes going on now and in the past so it will be difficult. I had another question about using the Generic Mod Manager with the U-Boat add on. Which folder do I put the Manager in? Do I need to put it in both the add-on folder and the sh4 stock folder??
|
you put one in each game folder for each version you are using.
open the ubisoft folder (if it has one) and put jsgme inside the silent hunter folder. (games installed other than in the default location may not have a ubisoft folder) if you have dual installs do one for each install and what i do is put a shortcut on the desktop for each game version and the corresponding jsgme shortcut from each game folder and name the shortcuts "sh4 v1.5" or "sh4 v1.4" or "sh3" (i do the same for the mission editor as well) this way its easy to see and quickly change what mods are active for each game version. capt cox is no longer around so you wont be able to contact him but here are his mods: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=118341 i havent seen or heard about sober in a while so i dont know if he is still around or not. |
If I put the manager in the 1.5 folder will I be Able to play the full american campaign and never access the stock folder.

but the manager will only work and access the game files it is installed into. it does not look to a preset game folder but instead it "reads" the game folder it is in and only access and works for that game folder. in this way it is up to you what it makes changes to. |
