Anne johnson speaks for Membership First, a faction with SAG, who lost some of its power after last months election. The new majority seeks to resovle this without a strike.
The problem lies with having 120,000 actors who can vote on a strike. There are very few actors who are making a living off of movie production. Most have other part time jobs and do acting on the side with hopes of some day making it "Big". The talk here in L.A. is that small time actors having nothing to lose by authorizing the strike. The actual working actors do not want to strike. Hollywood is still reeling from the Writers Strike. This hurts all of the techicians, and small business' that support the film industry
Lets hope they work things out..........
