Actually he's got a perfectly valid perspective. If you try to put yourself in the shoes of someone living in that part of the world, you would see how someone's reaction to McCain and especially Palin's rhetoric could be summed up as follows:

The polls consistently show that McCain is mostly unpopular outside of the US. Not because of stupid prejudices, but often for very rational reasons.

Well of course countrys like Iran, Venezula, Cuba, etc. are giddy with anticipation of an Obama presidency.
