What the neighbours can now deduce about Mr Lacasse next door and his sign are three things:

1. He is a racist bigot.
2. He can't spell to save his life.
3. He will not be voting for Senator Obama in the November election.

FRom what I can see nothing in the article you linked to indicates people demanding it be removed. No one as far as I can ascertain has tried to remove the sign. In my view freedom of speech is not under attack. Freedom of speech is being excercised by both sides.

Do you see it differently Subman? Please share your thoughts.

Wow! I'd sure want people in Central Florida telling me what is "inappropriate" and hampering my right to free speech! While I don't agree with the "racial slur" implications, it's the man's opinion and as long as it's on his property, oh well. Unless there are local ordinance(s) forbidding the "way" in which the sign was posted, I'd say there isn't much the neighbors can do about it...

BTW, while I was in Florida this past week, I saw a bumper sticker that said: "Anybody BUT Obama".
