I am new to Silent Hunter 4 and love the game. I also am very appreciative of all the modifications and additions made by members of SUBSIM. I have installed 1.5 and added the nomograph and other mods to the game. They are great. However, I found that the speed nomograph was a little to big for my liking, so I modified it to suit me. The nomograph is located at: c:\...\silent hunter\data\menu\menu_1024_768. Here are the tweaks that I used to make the nomograph a little smaller: POS=0,0,200,720. Zone=0 768 150 540 2 1 0x31000000 0.8 -0.09 0x3100000f 0 0 0 0.
While I was at it, I changed the picture on the Captain's Desk to someone I know. It's location is C:\...\silent hunter\data\CaptainPicture. Replace "picture" with one of your choice. Its format must be TARGA (TGA).
I also included "Victory At Sea" music rather than what was included in the intro. It is located at c:\...\Silent Hunter\data\sound\music. Replace "Original_Menu_Master LOOP" with your music by the same name. An mp3 must be converted to OGG format before it can be used. I found a converter (Free) at www.audio-converter.com. I found the theme for Victory At Sea at HTTP://victoryatseaonline.com/victory_music.html. Thanks for the information and I hope it all only gets better. Old_tex :D

Thanks for the Victory at Sea info! One of my favorites! Used to spend saturday afternoon in a cold Detroit winter watching it from 2 to 3, on the old UHF channels. RCA b&w tv too!
