Just learning the FFG. Couple questions
After playing the sub 99.99% all this time I'm starting to learn to play the FFG. The FFG seemed to be the most daunting platform to learn and now I'm beginning to dispel that belief.
However I've got a couple questions on the FFG 1. How do I untag the ATF from a contact? I accidentally click the ATF on self sound contact and no matter how many times I dropped the self contact it reappeared again and again and again. 2. When controlling the FFG I lose the engine sound in the 3D view for the helicopter once it disembarks my ship. Vice versa when playing the helo I lose the engine sound(3D sound) for the FFG once the helo disembarks from the ship. 3. When playing the helo there is the fuel gauge in the cockpit. However when controlling the FFG I see no fuel indication of my disembarked helo. Do they have unlimited fuel? Will they report when they are low on fuel automatically and return to the ship? I've found how to untagg the ATF from a contact.
But I've realized my helo which is equipped with 2 Mk 50 torpedoes and 1 Mk 54 torpedo is not showing its torpedoes in the 3D view. Doh. Perhaps it's the Alfa Tau mod I installed. |
It's not alfa tau. No platform shows loadout, scopes or moving torpedo doors, except for ownship.

It's not a problem DW assumes you're in the other platform and the one embarked or embarked from is simply treated as a visual cue hence no sound. |
helos will leave station and come back to re fuel they loose contact with you past 30nm and have an endurance of around 1 hour 45 mins giving 15 mins transit time back to the ship.
