Monitor resolution

I have a 20' monitor and the only resolution that I can use to have a good image of the games is 1680X1050, otherwise I get a blurry image and that happens with SHIII too. I've tried various resolutions and all I get is blur and streched image playing in full screen. Someone can give me a hint to resolve this? I love to play SHIII GWX but, in this conditions, its a little frustrating. Regards

I have been given the answer that for NVidia card/driver, there is a setting that you can force a wide monitor to display like 4:3. Otherwise this can be a software/hardware setting of the monitor. Of cpurse the picture will be cut but for 20'' monitor its OK. Then you can apply a 4:3 resolution and the game will be fine.

I hope I got it correctly.

I play on a 19'' and keep my res at 1024 x 768 and that works well for me.

It also depends on your monitor, i have a 22inch acer (1680*1050) which insists on stretching every image to the edges of the screen no matter what the res/aspect ratio. This cant be fixed by software/driver updates, its just what i get for buying a budget monitor

Personally i quite like the slight blur effect you get from stretching the image to fit the screen, it smooths out those nasty jaggy edges, its like free antialiasing :yep:
