desktop icons/split screen issue
 

The icons for my game appear a couple of inches from the bottom of the screen, resulting in a split screen. For examaple part ot the clock shows up on the bottom the screen, as does part of the map. Can this be fixed, adjusted, etc.? This game is harder than I am smart.

Have you tried different resolutions / refresh rates?

what are refresh rates and how do I change them

At the options screen when the game loads.

It offers for instance 1280X1024 75hz

or 1290x1024 60hz

the 75hz / 60hz are different refresh rates.

Might also want to try the vertical synch option.

If none of that works make sure the drivers for your video card are up to date.

i reinstalled the game after fixing the registry per the post on this site and that worked. thanks.
