Karl Doenitz Time Magazine Cover Articles
There is a website where you can look at the cover art and read the original articles published about the Admiral in Time Magazine.
http://www.time.com/time/coversearch Just type in the name Doenitz in the coversearch dialogue box and you will be directed to two articles. One from '42 and another from '43. The articles naturally have the allied propaganda bias and hypocrisy, but they are still interesting and the cover art for the '43 article is hilarious. Enjoy. I stumbled across this after seeing a picture of the '43 cover in the book "Shadow Divers" about scuba divers finding a U-Boat off the east coast of the U.S. |
Great find! Contemporary articles are always informative and entertaining. I've just downloaded both.
Thanks! |
That 1943 article had a huge amount of details in it. Pretty impressive really.
