Newbye sonar ping question
Hello,
I'm a complete noob and have set all crewstations to autocrew. I'm sitting in my 688 in an intercept quick mission I can hear single sonar pins now and then. Is it a contact pinging me or could it be my own autocrew sending active sonar pings without my consent? Cheers Luca |
Nope, those are someone else.

Get friendly with your sonar features. Even with auto crew on, you find that in all honesty they suck at their job 90% of the time. Sonar active intercept you can use and see the frequency and range of the source of the pinging you are hearing. This is useful to you because you know where they are.

I have a question related to this.
http://www.subguru.com/DW_missions/T...e_Solution.zip This looks like a very good way to find a solution for TMA, but when he says make that zigzag, do you have to be something on the sonar during that or will that be automatically computed? Thanks (Also, if I am submerged while I am in a link with other ships, do I just need to raise a radio antenna to reconnect with them?) |
