I have read some time ago that there as on development a new naval warfare game, to be released this autumn.

I have searched the net but I have not found any news about it.

Does any of my fellow " kalleons" know about it or any other new naval warfare game that is worth playing.

I miss destroyer command a lot and a modern version of surface naval warfare would be very interesting.

That's a project of NWS Naval Warfare simulations I think it is a 2d tactical simulation covering naval warfare in the period 1890-1950, they have been working on for quite some time, check it out here

One of their other projects "Warship combat: dreadnoughts and battleships" is shortly to get a 3D visual add on so hopefully 'Navies at war' will be similarly blessed at some point in the future.
