Just a Quick Question?
I suddenly have an issue of an error message when playing. I have saved a game, and when I go back to it, I can play for a short moment, say 30 seconds, then I get the error message that it "cannot read the memory at 07d065d07" memory error, or something to that effect. I can hit okay, and then it closes the entire game, or I can hit cancel which then is supposed to debug the program. Also says something about SH3 application.
I have experienced this in the past, but have noticed that if I change something as soon as I get the game back up, like speed, or direction, or crew management, I can usually go past it and not crash. Could it be that I added a few mods to the game during a patrol? I added the sound mod, interior angles mod, international news mod, and missions warning mod. Should I delete this career and start all over? Or maybe just go to the start of this patrol and try again........ Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? |
Always add mods while docked in port for peace of mind :yep:
Some will work while at sea - Graphics ( one for one swop ) and messages seem ok Sounds can sometimes be troublesome Not sure what the " interior angles mod" is but my guess is this is the problem one Hope you are not too far into your career  |

this "interior angles mod" corrects that issue. |
Think I got it
I went home at lunch and even though it killed me since I was attacking a convoy with no escorts alive, I went ahead and started over.
I only played a few moments but it didn't have an error. I'll have more time this evening, and hopefully can get back to the point where I found the convoy, and start the killing all over again. Otherwise, with GWX2.1, who knows what I'll find.... Thanks for all the ideas! |
Just some tips: there are a bunch of things to avoid. Here are a few that I can think of...
1) Don't save games anywhere near other objects (ships & aircraft) or land. A lot of people experience ctd's when they do this. 2) Don't save while submerged. Same reason as #1. 3) Don't use the crew configuration screen to move crew around. Do it manually. See the GWX manual for details about that one. Although I've never had a crash when I've used it a lot of people have. 4) Avoid using high TC (64x +) near large convoys. The game starts to really lag & may crash on you. Hope that this is useful to you.:) |
Thank You for the ideas!
I have noticed a few of those........
Especially the time compression around convoys, I have got so used to it that when I am on the map view and my ship slows down or stutters, I know something is close. I am trying to really change the way I play this game, and focus on more of the emmersion of it. Trying to stay inside the bout versus outside views. Its hard because the graphics are so great now!:|\\ |
