Pink Tips
Hi Guys, in Stock Sh3 what type sub carries the most pink tip torps ? and were they as good for real in WW2.
Cheers Downunder |
IIRC a lot of the torpedoes in stock were not color coded correctly... are you referring to the "homing torpedo"?
|
Yes the homing torp, What type sh3 sub carries the most, and i was also wondering if they were for real in the war and were they any good. Whats IIRC?
Cheers |
'IIRC' is shorthand for 'If I Remember Correctly.'
The type IX boats carry the most torpedoes - 22 aginst 14 on a type VII. The early models of homing torps, or 'gnats', were pretty unreliable historically but their performance improved as the war went on. They can be tricky to use and will sometimes home on the sound of your own boat! The Communiyu Manual has a full run-down on torp types and their usage. |
Yeah, be carefull how you use them, it's not good for one's egoism to get destroyed by his own fish:arrgh!: . I know how it feels:oops:

The Falkes take 100 metres (400) longer than the others (300).
After launch go deep and rig for silent running or stay at PD and stop engines http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif |
