[req]Nautilus/Narwhal models

its pretty self-explanatory, i believe it would be great to have a playable Narwhal or Nautilus...im sure the models out there somewhere
any modelers interested enough to work on it?

This has been asked a lot, and there is still no real answer. But trust me, enough of us want it that if it had been reasonably easy we would have them by now. Sorry I don't have a better answer. Nautilus, Narwhal and Argonaut were among my favorite parts of SH1 back in the day.

me also, and i would certainly make one if i had the ability to, but im a horrible modeler...IIRC some guy named Dagon was working on one....but i believe he was on another forum

The holy grial of the SH4 game :damn: I can't remember anymore how much I have aked for a proper model of those boats. The last one who was going to do it vanished and we never heard anything more from him

Having studied the model a lot, I believe that a good start could be done with a P-Class resized in a powerful 3D editor like 3DSmax or similar and then reworked in the bow and stern areas. For the conning tower the already existing ones are good enough, it's the hull what needs to be made new :hmm: Sadly I lack the skills and the software to do the task myself, otherwise I would have happily started already.

i can do simple edits of existing models....
what would boe a"powerful" 3d modeler that is free?
i believe i just canceled that one out:rotfl:
im tired of waiting, and im anxious to get my modeling feet wet!

Try this FREE 3D Modeler.
http://www.misfitcode.com/misfitmodel3d/

I've been useing it for some work and am impressed with it.
It's faster then 3DS MAX 9 and has quite alot going for it.

Sorry i don't want to be killed or worse but you are telling me that the Narwhal sub in SH4 is not the right model ?? Let me understand...:dead:

Vikinger 03-30-09 09:01 PM

But there is a Narwhal sub that comes whit TMO if i dont recall wrong.

I have the sub in my sub folder.

Maybe its not the Narwhal you are looking for or?

I think it's a tweaked salmon....it's by no means a true...Narwhal
