This is strange. 1.4b update
 

Hi everyone.

I was just reinstalling SHIII and noticed something really weird when I was installing the patch. I downloaded it from one of the mirrors linked at the UBI website.

The file is named "silent_hunter_3_dvd_1.4b_us.exe", but when I run it it says that it is the 1.0 to 1.3 update.

Has anyone else noticed this?

That is a glitch that Ubi never bothered to fix; that patch is the correct one.

I had the same worries, when I updated it, but after I run the game at the bottom of the screen in the main menu showed v1.4, so everything's ok.

Last one in, as usual. Yep, back when we got to test the 1.4 patch and it became 1.4b it was pointed out that it still said '1.3' on it. While it's loading have a look at the lower right-hand corner. There it will tell you the real version.
