Pelosi censors poster of troops
|
Anybody got an actual image ofd the poster?
I cant find it anywhere? |
I don't know; maybe because she's a zero-sum, single-minded, one-sided, two-faced, double-dealing triple-threat four-flusher who wants to put us all behind the eight-ball?
Just like the rest of them. |
I hope she chokes on a cannoli...:dead:
|
Pelosi just strikes me of someone that is an off the wall instant decision maker without really thinking her decisions through completely. Imagine if Bush and Cheney both died - she would be our president with this kind of mindset. Scary.

Could not agree more. you should check out a book called "Liberalism is a mental disorder". By Savage. In it he makes a very good observation of what makes the left wing tick.

As far as THIS story goes though, I absolutely disagree with removing the posters and would have gone the opposite direction from Pelosi and instead placed posters of EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN who had lost their life due to the Iraq War throughout the halls of Congress. I would have made it so that you could not walk 10 feet without being reminded of those who gave the final measure due to the Bush Folly called the War in Iraq. You best believe it! And then we would be having a discussion about the Republicans and Bush forcing their removal on the grounds that it was a political statement by the Democrats... and he would be right because that would be exactly what it would have been. Instead, Pelosi (who is against the War in Iraq just like Mr. Jones is today) did what she would have been forced to do anyway- ask that the posters be removed. I disagree with not being able to display the ten commandments in front of the county courthouse, I disagree with a lot of things and I disagree with removing the posters too. But that is the law as it stands today. Sometimes you don't get to do the easy thing, the thing that you might otherwise want to do. Sometimes, as a leader you have to do the thing that the law requires and if Mr. Jones would learn that lesson- then he will be the better for it. I say change the law and place posters of all of our fallen soldiers throughout the halls of Congress and remind those who support the war, or starting the next one... that there that there is a price for their folly and that THEY are not the ones footing the bill. But hey, that's just me. |

I guess I just don't like extremists of any persuasion. Even when I agree with some of their charges. |
And she used compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act to justify taking the poster down? That's appropriate since she's most assuredly "mentally challenged" like all the rest of them (politicians, that is).
@JoeCorrado I would suggest that we take that one step further and post names and pictures of all US Soldiers killed in every war that this country has ever participated in regardless of which party was "in power" when the war started or why we were involved in it. This would be a totally apolitical display and perhaps would make the "rulers" of our country think at least once about doing it again (no matter what party they belong to). BTW, how is honoring the dead soldiers of the mans constituency a political statement? Some of those folks were undoubtedly Democrats. Granted, I haven't seen the poster either, and if it indeed had some political statement, then it should have been moved inside his office, perhaps. |
Oh come on guys. Pelosi is just trying to save the world. Obama was sent by God according to her. That poster was a banner, flag or device. Anyone can see that. Well, Pelosi can. I think she needs our backing.....way back. How this women got to the position she holds is beyond me. She has a running record of doing some very stupid things. This is just another. Anything she says or actions she takes does not surprise me anymore. When I see the 'Pelosi' in the media my first word that comes to mind is 'useless'.

The public spaces are not an appropriate place to allow either personal nor political displays by members of Congress. The posters in question would open the door for any and all content by any and all other members of Congress. You can imagine the possibilities. A special dispensation for this instance may be approved for this particular case when Congress Reconvenes. I hope that it is. I am not very impressed with Pelosi or Jones for that matter, but quite frankly I believe that we have bigger fish to fry than this petty bickering. |
She is not a good representative of the Democratic party thats for sure. I still can't figure out why the Democrats choose her to be the Speaker of the House. :nope:
Frankly she is one of those people who just instinctively annoy people :yep: |
