Taking control of guns myself....
After a long time gone I finally got some time to focus on PC games again and installed SH3 with GWX 2.1, OLC along with the SH4 effects mod and -could be important- the All-types-open-hatch-mod by DD.
At first, I must say I'm amazed by the immersion added to the game with the recent additions, especially in terms of lighting and realistic simulation of seastate. Anyways, there is still one small issue for me: after installing above mods, I cannot take control of my deck or flak guns myself anymore. It seems like the F10 and F11 keys have been deactivated. It is possible that maybe I have overread something in a readme or thread, in this case don't flame me ;) but I want so sink fhishing boats with my flak gun and the AI crew dosen't fire it on surface ships. |
have you applied the screen resolution patch? it disables the F10/F11 keys, if i remember correctly.......
|
I use the dx9res10-override to get a higher resolution. On the other hand I used it all the times before without having such a problem.

you can only use deckgun, if there is enough crew assigned to the deckgun.
i use the "weapon-officer / man the deck-gun"-command(s) |
already tried this, it makes no diferrence. You normally can put yourself in the gun station, but you cannot fire or turn it without crew.

Okok, you won.. ...without the res-fix the keys work.
But this still doesn't explain why I could use this res-fix for over 2 years without any problems and now it seems to deacivate the F10 and 11 keys everytime when used. Any ways to remap key bindings used in SH3? |
Ok, just found the cfg and rebound it, seems to work so far, thx everyone
