A little (true) tail about shaking hands.
For reasons that I'll never fully understand because it's certainly not that common a custom here in the UK.....but appears to be prevalent with people in my line of work.
Next time your out in a public bar or nightclub etc. and notice one or two people in the crowd that you know.....each time you go to the toilet for a pee and wash your hands afterwards, don't dry rhem, leave them dripping wet.
The law of averages dictates that some time during the evening your sure to bump into someone entering as your leaving the Gents area.
What usually happens next (well in my experiences anyway) is they'll grab you by the hand with the friendly intention of shaking said hand.
Watch their reaction when they realise it is soaking wet, weigh up where you have just been and come to the obviously wrong conclusion about what the wet substance is constituted of.
