I haven't noticed the officers and their benefits as of yet
I have found the planes, they're scouts mostly, you click a Jap airbase and you can order them to send a scout to anywhere withtin range of the base ( big circle) it will then patrol an area (smaller circle) and report and follow contacts, you can also order up zeros from singapore but they're usel;ess early on... you do this by using the little blue pencil on the nav map... as to cruisers and such, those will become available once you get promoted to Kaleun and higher.... and are silly IMO :-? far too arcade-y so... nav map, use little blue pencil, click Penang airfield, click location to scout, usually east of Sumatra, sink whatever it finds, if it RTBs, repeat process... 100k patrol everytime :D |

You're welcome, just keep in mind that an allied convoy is generally 5 or 6 ships, one of which is a T3 and no escorts...

Got the big one. :D |
Good for you, last time I had to do a mission like that I had no periscopes anymore so I did a quick daylight pop-up attack, raise the turm just far enough above the water to man the UZO, fire off a spread from long distance and dive like the entire Royal Navy is after you....
which they were... they didn't get me though, but I didn't hit anything either, oh well :D |
