French soldiers die in Afghanistan

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/as...ef=mpstoryview

Ten French soldiers dead and assaults keep streaming in against the occupying troops. This after seven years of war by USA and it's friends.

This might help to remind some people that France actually does play an active role in the fight against Al Qaeda and those that support it.

On Afghanistan we can come out on top but Afghanistan itself is only half of the problem. Pakistan requires equal attention with the use of both soft and hard power.

Good point about France's participation:up:The problem, as I see it, is that these terrorists are like roaches. You shine a light on them in one place and they scurry away to a nice dark place to hide and reproduce and leave their filth. Until all countries will not harbor their kind or support them, no one, no matter how mighty or weak, will have a chance to end their terror campaign.

Yeah, exterminating cockroaches in one apartment is useless if they can just go hide in another. The whole building must be treated.

Maybe they should have another helping of 'freedom fries', that might give them the necessary energy to dodge those bullits. :p

So either the wounded French soldiers are wrong or it's a NATO cover up. Which is it, then?

So, even if it happened its not like they did on purpose, most likely those air strikes saved lifes.

Like I thought, in your mind NATO is always right and Russia always wrong, no matter what happens.

Look, i know allready where you are coming from, you have the world to save from the evil capitalist West.
But this has nothing to do with NATO or Russia.
You have once referred to your academic background as something that enables you to connect the dots.
Im starting to think my taxes are being wasted in our free educational system.

Maybe you ought to stop trying to stir up trouble between the US and France.

at 60 km only from the capital does it depict really the situation or is it just a coup to hit the US and its allies morale a little like the vietnamese commando and the US ambassy in the Vietnam

Watching the news about this the other day, the reported voiced that the Taliban were closing in on the capital.

Same news program 3 minutes later, reported on the extensive successes the aussies in Tarin Kowt have had, ridding tthe region of the taliban.

Which is it?
