RFB+RSRDC users..HELP?
okay, ill try to explain this as best as possible
on a boring day, early in the war 15th of december '41 i finally sight a lone merchant...i was already annoyed by the fact that i forgot my Deck Gun Crew, and i had no AA crew either. so i figure, okay, torpedo attack...well within my ablilities. i fire two torpedos, bow tubes. it is a perfect, no gyro solution, evn for autotarget... both torpedos pull a hard right turn so fast i crash dove in case i had circlerunners annoyed by them, i fire two more...again, both did the same... :damn: this must be an issue with the campaigns of RFB and RSRDC? or is it that original torps back then were all duds? i figured at least ONE or TWO have to go straight to the target but NONE of them did, not even a stern shot helped it |
Are you able to repeat the procedure, if so do a runthrough with
torpedo malfunctions off. see if theres a difference (did you repeat it already and get the same thing.) without being certain of your settings I couldnt say its rarely if ever that bad for me.:hmm: |
They used to go left. That was corrected. Very odd for going right now all the time. Just a question, did you say you are using auto target? If so, did you lock on the ship before firing?
|
yes, i believe so, there is no triangle anymore lol
and mush, im aware the torpedo malfunctions is on the options screen? |
Not meaning to imply you werent I was advising a test.
|
many apologies,it was intended as a question lol, sory
ill look it up when i get home |
If you are using auto targeting never use the position keeper. That will ruin your auto target setup.
|
Are you using RFB 1.4 or 1.5?
|
By the way you can move sailors from one station to another.
For example from the stern torpedo room to the deck gun. ;) Not going to help your targeting issues but just thought Id mention it. |
If you're using RFB 1.4, we've recently uploaded a fixed torpedo file that fixes a nasty bug with all torpedoes veering off-course. Check the stickied thread in the PTO mods forum for the download link.
