1 April 1940 - End of War?
 

Dear Karleuns,

Me again :).

Well, my problem this time is that having sorted my Graphics Card issue and started out on a completely fresh career - every time I dock at Wilhelmshaven I now seem to be retired and cannot continue with my career. I am told that the war has ended :damn:.

I have noticed that even though I have been away on patrol for a number of weeks, all of my saves say 1 April 1940 (the day I started the patrol).

I have completed several patrols and each time I dock, I then have the potential of losing many thousands of tons shipping sunk. Has anyone any idea of what is going on? I would appreciate any advice:-?.

Oh, I am running SH3 Commander with GWX2.1. I have a number of other mods too but all of these are fresh installs.

Maybe he set TC nearly to 'c' during patrol. So time on his sub passed slower than in home base... http://img103.exs.cx/img103/6541/biggrin.gif

This is no April Fool I assure you.

I have completed my first patrol after a complete refresh of all of my mods, GWX and just about everything else I can think of. In other words, a complete fresh install. Every time I complete my 1st patrol with a lot of tonnage sunk, the next time I log in to start Patrol 2, I am told that I have retired and that the war has ended.

I was going to suggest that perhaps you were so successful in your first patrol that the Allies surrendered. :huh:

Yes, the Allies ran away scared :D. The problem was that I didn't fancy such a short war :down: - that wouldn't make such a good sim would it?:p. Thankfully it is now all sorted and my career is now back on track. Gute Jagd mein freund.
