Lotus Makes Hybrids Sound Like Real Cars

Uhmm.... What happened to silence being a good thing?

As you can tell, I'm not too big a fan of Harley's!

Silence is only good if your a sub.;) These things are dangerious to pedestriand. Because if you cant hear it, then you probaly might not see it. and get hit and killed by a car.

Last time I heard, and car travelling makes a ton of rubber noise on the pavement already.

My wife drives a Prius.

My complaint is that when I am in a parking lot, there is always a fat person with shorty-shorts on walking slowly down the middle of the parking lot aisle and can't hear our car to get out of the way. We end up having to honk, which causes them to jump in fright. Have you ever seen a fattie in shorty-shorts jump in fright? I'm here to tell you, that's alot of wobbling going on.

It isn't the blind you need to worry about...oh no. It's the fatties.

Not really. Heck, I've almost been hit by a Hybrid (I know I should have looked before I waltzed into the street). You can't hear them until you're halfway underneath them. :)

"But activists and legislators consider them silent killers that prey on blind people who never hear 'em coming."

So do traditional ICE cars prey on deaf people?

Wow I never knew that as a Prius driver I was preying on blind people.

I always thought it was the Driver's responsibility to look out for people when backing up?

I have been around a few blind people when driving in a parking lot. I always give the Blind person extra room and take extra caution when driving near blind people, because they can't... you know... see me.

I have never "counted" on a blind person to hear my car so that THEY can avoid ME. I try to avoid THEM.
